Failure depends on the objective
No reliable Manchurian Candidate is not the same finding as no operational value. Temporary incapacitation, confusion, fear, suggestibility, or amnesia can be useful to an interrogator without enabling complete control.
Harm is not capability proof
Cameron patients and unwitting drug subjects suffered real harm. Severe damage demonstrates the power to injure, not a precise ability to rewrite identity and command later behavior.

- Which specific techniques entered later interrogation doctrine?
- Can any claimed reliable programming result be independently reproduced from a complete protocol and dataset?
